Safety protection requirements for edge operation of glass curtain wall construction

1. The glass curtain wall must be equipped with protective measures for the operation at the edge of the high place, and meet the following requirements.

(1) Around the second floor where the height of the first floor wall exceeds 3.2m, and around the floor where the height of the outside scaffolding exceeds 3.2m, a safety flat net must be erected on the periphery.

(2) Protective railings must be provided on both sides of the derrick, construction elevators, scaffolding, and building passages. A safety shed should be installed on the upper part of the ground passage. The middle of the double-cage derrick passage shall be closed.

(3) Temporary guardrails must be installed at the stair entrance and the side of the steps in layered construction. Formal protective railings shall be installed at the stairway on the top floor along with the progress of the project structure.

(4) Around the foundation pit, on both sides of balconies where railings or railings have not been installed, on both sides of material platforms and pick-up platforms, on the sides of awnings and overhanging eaves, around roofs and floors without external scaffolding, and around water tanks and water towers, etc., must be installed protective railing.
